Many thanks to all of you that have brought the vouchers in – we have collected a lot so far – but they are still being given out until 20th May – so plenty more to collect yet!!
Please make sure that you collect as many as you can from family, friends and neighbours and bring them into us by Friday 20th June – as we have limited time to count them, order the equipment and send the vouchers in.
A great time had by all, good fun, good weather and lots of great activities – and all did their fair share of cooking and cleaning!
The Easter Camp section is now no longer password protected and all the photos are on Flickr (on 3rd Hampton website), with some videos on the new 3rd Hampton Scouts Youtube account
The first meeting of this term will now be on Monday 28th April as I now have to be elsewhere.
Remember St George’s Day Parade is on the day before that i.e. Sunday 27th April – please make sure that you are there, wearing uniform and scarf with dark trousers and smart dark shoes – no blue jeans/light coloured trainers!!

Just to confirm that it was decided that we will start back at explorers, after Easter, on Monday 21st April (Bank Holiday Monday). This meeting will give those of you that need badges the chance to get them and sew them on your uniform before St George’s Day parade!!
Detailed information re timings etc for St George’s Day Parade are now in the news section – remember you should attend this parade unless absolutely unavoidable.
Just a reminder that we will be taking part in the District St. George’s Day parade on 27th April.
Make sure that you are available as we want a full turnout, in uniform!!
Please can you all get your family and friends to collect the Sainsbury Active Kids vouchers over the next few months and bring them to explorers rather than school/college!! We can get lots of equipment for free with the vouchers and we’ve got far less people to collect from than the schools!!
Please check the camps, forms and news tabs for all the information mentioned in my recent email. Explorers starts again on Monday 13th Jan and I would like all subs, forms and other payments to be handed in at that meeting!!
We hope that you all have had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year and are looking forward to a fun-filled 2014!!
During the course of the year please keep checking the website regularly as we will be posting all the information about forthcoming activities and events on the website.
With such a large unit and being the only leader I need as much help as possible with running the activities and camps etc – particularly with transport!! We are also helping our host group improve and maintain the HQ so help with gardening, decorating, fundraising etc is also needed.
Please make one of your New Year resolutions to find ways of giving the unit your support – scouting is eager to have your help and is promoting “Flexible Volunteering” to encourage all to get involved even if you can only help a couple of times per year – to coin a phrase “Every Little Helps!!”
Make sure that you bring your permission forms, sleeping bag and any “nibbles” and gaming equipment etc. that you want to have on the night. Timings will be on email and on facebook.
If you’re not coming have a good Christmas and New Year – we start again on 13th Jan.
As per separate email can I ask that you complete and return the Census form to me before the end of January. The form is available in the News tab.
